A finales de marzo, la compa\u00f1\u00eda contaba con 98,189 empleados, lo que representa una disminuci\u00f3n del 3.5% en comparaci\u00f3n con el a\u00f1o anterior, cuando ten\u00eda 101,735.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En marzo, Bayer anunci\u00f3 un plan estrat\u00e9gico con el objetivo de ahorrar 2,000 millones anuales a partir de 2026, el cual inclu\u00eda despidos significativos, especialmente entre los directivos. Sin embargo, la compa\u00f1\u00eda a\u00fan no ha especificado la cifra exacta de salidas. Tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 una victoria importante a principios de mayo, cuando un tribunal de apelaciones en Washington anul\u00f3 una sentencia de 185 millones contra su unidad Monsanto por contaminaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica, lo cual podr\u00eda tener implicaciones favorables en otros casos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adem\u00e1s de estas medidas, Bayer ha avanzado en la construcci\u00f3n de una s\u00f3lida cartera de productos y en la reducci\u00f3n de su deuda, seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 Anderson. A pesar de haber registrado p\u00e9rdidas de 2,941 millones en 2023, la compa\u00f1\u00eda logr\u00f3 ganar 2,000 millones en el primer trimestre de 2024, lo que representa una disminuci\u00f3n del 8.2% en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo periodo del a\u00f1o anterior, tras ingresar un 4.3%
